The Island Fantasy Ball is one of the largest DanceSport competitions in British Columbia. Since its inception in 1993, the Nanaimo Ballroom Dance Society continues to host this world-class event annually.
In 2026 we will be celebrating our 32nd annual gala with special showcase performances by elite international dancers and would like to invite you to be a partner in this prestigious event.
The 2026 event brings to Nanaimo the International Open as well as the Provincial Closed DanceSport Championships. World ranking dancers together with the best from BC will be
converging in Nanaimo to compete for the top honor and the coveted Closed Title.
The Nanaimo Ballroom Dance Society is 100% volunteer-run and a registered non-profit organization which promotes DanceSport generally and supports amateur DanceSport athletes.
We need your support to maintain the high level of excellence for which the Island Fantasy Ball is known and respected in Nanaimo and the Province of BC.

Trophy Sponsorship – $250:
Trophy sponsorship is $250 and ongoing renewal donation of $150 per year to maintain sponsorship.
In return, we offer public acknowledgement at the event and the opportunity to present your trophy each year plus acknowledgement in the event program and website.
