To enter for IFB 2010 competitions, please check the box for each competition you wish to enter, fill in the personal details below, and cleck on the "Send Entry Form to Registrar" button. We will send a confirmation of your entry to the email addresses you specify.
Please note, that since competitors' signatures are required (parent or legal guardian if a competitor is under 19) you will be required to sign a form at IFB 2010 before competing.

Note 2: If you get an error message it will be because one of lady's or gentleman's fields have been left blank.
However, the "Send" button does not require Javascript and should always work.
The system will indicate the field name, e.g. "required_lady_name" meaning the lady's name is missing.
The B.C. Closed Championships are recognized by the Canadian Amateur DanceSport Association and all events are sanctioned by DanceSport BC.
Events with less than three entries may be cancelled at the discretion of the organizers. Late entries will only be accepted at the organizers' discretion.
General Amateur DanceSport Rules: Amateur DanceSport events are sanctioned by DanceSport B.C. (DSBC) and will be run according to DSBC Bylaws and Rules. BC Closed Championship events at this competition are sanctioned by DSBC under the auspices of the Canadian Amateur DanceSport Association (CADA) and will be run according to CADA Rules which are detailed on the DSBC website rules page.
Syllabus events: Syllabus events will be invigilated. For more information about the syllabus, please visit the DSBC website downloads page. Events will be cancelled or combined if there are insufficient entries for a specific event. Youth competitors may participate in both Youth and Adult competitions. Senior competitors may participate in both Senior and Adult competitions.
Competitor's Entry Fees: There is no entry fee for competitors. However, all adult competitors must purchase in advance a full day admission ticket to the event. All Juvenile, and Junior competitors participating in syllabus and pre-champ categories may purchase Afternoon Pass either in advance or at the door. There will be a $5.00 refundable deposit for competition numbers. Please have $5 cash ready when registering at the competition.
All competitors (and, if under 19 years of age, their parents or their legal guardians) must sign the release on the entry form to be eligible to compete.
Registration of Amateur Competitors: All amateur competitors must be registered with a recognized amateur dancesport association, except for those amateurs competing for the first time. All Non-DSBC competitors are required to produce proof of current membership in a recognized amateur DanceSport association in order to complete registration. Please include a photocopy with your entry form.
Dress Regulations: Dress Code will be enforced. Please refer to the dress code regulations on the DSBC website rules page. Competitors may be disqualified for any infraction. Competition dress will be required for the presentation of awards.
Entry Deadline: We must receive your entry forms by April 9, 2010. Late entries will only be accepted at the discretion of the organizers of the Island Fantasy Ball and only if they do not necessitate the addition of further rounds.
Event Schedule: The event schedules will be published on this site. Please register one hour prior to, be ready to compete 30 minutes before and report to the Marshalling area 15 minutes before your scheduled event.
Definition of Newcomer: A Newcomer is an individual who has never competed at more than one competition in a division and has not won in that division. The Latin and Standard events are considered as separate divisions.
Definition of Senior III: One partner must reach his/her 55th birthday in the calendar year and the other partner must reach his/her 45th birthday in the calendar year.
SnowBall Classic Awards: The winners of the BC Closed Standard and Latin Championships will be awarded complimentary tickets to the 2011 SnowBall Classic, provided that the winning couples compete at the 2011 Snowball Classic in the same event and in the same category in which they won their titles. In addition, the winners of the Adult BC Closed Standard and Latin Championships will be invited to perform at the SnowBall Showcase of Champions in 2011.
