Travel Information and Local Map

The Island Fantasy Ball 2007 will be held at the Beban Park Auditorium located at 2300 Bowen Rd, Nanaimo.

Travel by Ferry From BC Ferries Departure Bay Terminal go straight down Stewart Ave (along waterfront) until you cross the bridge by the Civic Arena / Maffeo Sutton Park. At the stoplight turn right by the Howard Johnson Hotel and go straight up Comox Rd / Bowen Road until you come to Beban Park. From BC Ferries Duke Point, or if coming from Victoria, go through downtown Nanaimo until the Civic Arena and turn left up Comox / Bowen Road. Harbour Lynx is a fast passenger ferry from downtown Vancouver to downtown Nanaimo. The ferry arrives at Nanaimo harbour near the Best Western Dorchester Hotel. Go north down Front Street until you reach the Howard Johnson Hotel then on though Comox / Bowen Road until you reach Beban Park. Note that Harbour Lynx has ceased operation, but its web site is still active and states that service will resume in December. Travel by Bus Greyhound provides regular scheduled services between Nanaimo and Victoria, Vancouver and other cities. Travel by Air Baxter Air offers regular scheduled flights between Nanaimo harbour and Vancouver downtown or airport.
