Jean Marc Genereux and France Mousseau
Jean-Marc and France both began dancing in 1972, at the age of nine, and have been together as dance partners since 1977. During their competitive career, Jean-Marc and France trained with the top coaches in Canada, the United States, and England. They represented Canada as amateurs for ten years, winning major amateur titles in both ballroom and Latin. Jean-Marc and France turned professional in 1986 and went on to represent Canada internationally for twelve years, competing in world-class competitions in over 25 countries and entering more than 15 World Championships, winning many major world titles in both ballroom and Latin. They retired from professional competitive dancing in 1998.
Since their retirement from competition, Jean-Marc and France have continued their weekly international travel schedule. In addition to performing their acclaimed ten-dance professional shows, they are in demand as world-class adjudicators and as choreographers for elite competitive dancers.
Their resume also includes hundreds of television performances, beginning with Canadian television in 1976 and continuing with appearances in the Unites States, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Recent film credits include performances in the motion picture Dance with Me, featuring Vanessa L. Williams and Chayanne.
